On September 16th, 1994 sixty-two children, age 5 to 12 years old, of Ariel school in Zimbabwe had an encounter with an alien and UFO craft that to this day remains unexplained.
The children were playing in the schoolyard, unsupervised due to a meeting involving their teachers. The only adult reported was a mother who was operating a snack bar near the children, but far enough way to miss the encounter.
Many of the children reported seeing three objects in the sky that over time would disappear and then reappear in a difference location, but closer to them. Finally, one of the objects landed in an area filled with brush and foliage near the schoolyard. This area was strictly off limits to the children so none approached. According to the children the object either landed, or hovered just above the grant approximately 100 meters from them.
After a few moments a small man, approximately one meter in height, just appeared on top of the object. The children describe him as a little man with a thin neck, huge eyes, and long black hair. The figure began walking towards the students, where it stopped upon spotting them. The children then stated that he disappeared and reappeared on the top of the object in an instant. Shortly after, the object took off and was not seen again that day or in the days following.
Cynthia Hind, who is one of Africa’s foremost UFO investigators at the time heard of the story and immediately began investigating. Cynthia contacted Colin Mackie, the headmaster of the school, and asked that the children draw a picture of that they saw. Thirty-five children all drew a picture individually from one another and all thirty-five were nearly identical. One little girl told Cynthia that “I swear by every hair on my head and the whole Bible that I am telling the Truth.”
Other students required counseling because they felt the little man was there to hurt them or that he had planted thoughts inside their heads. The students who reported thoughts being planted in their heads all had the same thought that “Humans are destroying our planet and polluting the environment in ways that will have dire consequences.”
I believe this case to be some of the strongest evidence for UFO and alien activity we have. Children are excellent witnesses because they are very eager to tell a story and often have a much better sense of details than adults. In this case, thirty-five students all drew the same craft, described the same little man, and even had nightmares due to the event.
Children do not have nightmares about an event that did not happen. Additionally, children make mistakes and slip up easily when questioned about a lie. All of these children had the same story, the same description of the event, and not one of them had an altering story from that of the group then or now.
